Well this place is a little different! It may sit in the middle of nowhere, but they do make a great coffee and could be a great stopping point if you’re travelling south/north through Prachuap Khiri Kran or simply touring around the Sam Roi Yod area.

I took a weekend visit to Sam Roi Yot and for those of you that have been here, you’ll know there’s not much in the way of cafe’s and restaurants in the area. For good reason too, a lot of it is protected land and a national park which. You can drive for miles and see only beautiful landscapes including mountains, marshlands and quiet beaches…it what makes this place such a tourist attraction…the peace and quiet together with the beautiful views.

So it was day 2 and I still hadn’t had a decent coffee – the choices were packet Nescafe or an average cappuccino from your typical beach type bar/cafe that serves the typical club sandwich and few thai dishes.

I ran into this place when on our way to the Sam Roi Yod marshlands boardwalk, it sits just before/after the turnoff from Phetkhasem road to area. It’s pretty easy to spot too, as it has a bright yellow building which makes it stand out from the others, so just keep your eyes open for the building once you’re in the area and you shouldn’t miss it.

The coffee was well above average, and I was actually quite surprised to find such a quality coffee in such a random location…it really is located in the middle of nowhere.

The cafe has a great spacious inside and well air-conditioned. There’s also a large veranda/deck area that’s under cover if you wanted to take in the fresh outside air.

The hot coffee is around 40-45 baht and there’s a selection of Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso and Latte.

If you’re feeling peckish and you have a sweet tooth, you’re in luck! They have a good selection of cakes as well in the front refrigerated cabinet.

What did you like most about the place?

The quality of coffee – best I’ve found in this area (not considering Pranburi city), and probably cheapest too.

What other features/facilities stood out?

  • The space
  • Outdoor deck area
  • Location – surprised to find something out this way, but makes a great stop if you’re doing a road trip

What are the prices like?

Cheap! 40 baht for my coffee, not sure how guys can even make money from this.

Where are they located?

The address probably won’t help you – but here it is.

Sam Krathai, Kui Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77180

Check out the map below or their facebook page for more accurate directions.

Where can I find them online?

I couldn’t find a Facebook page for their Hua Hin branch, but they have posts about it on their other Facebook pages.
