These guys are in my top 5 coffee joints in Udon Thani, and with a name like “coffee bar” you’d normally expect nothing less than average right? Sadly that’s not always the case…however these guys live up to the name. The coffee here is truely exceptional, and you’ll figure that out just from walking in the front door. The selection of roasted coffee beans on the front counter, a dedicated page on the menu for their different types of coffee and the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans as you walk in the door. If you’re not feeling like a coffee before arriving, you probably will after a good couple of minutes taking in the smell of the freshly ground coffee’s being poured out by the barista.

It’s the coffee that I remember about this place, and it’s still one of the main reasons I visit this place most mornings.

This place was the first cafe stop on my first visit to Udon Thani back in May 2018. You can view the blog post Here. Not bad landing at this place for my first coffee in Udon Thani! But with a name like “Coffee Bar”, you would want the coffee to be at least average…and these guys a WELL above average.

What I noticed in my more recent visits to this cafe is their large selection of food on the menu. I’m not sure if this menu existed on my first visit here…maybe it did and I was just thirsty for my coffee, so I never looked, but either way, it’s only something I recently noticed.

For those looking for Western dishes, I wouldn’t say this is “must” visit, however there are western dishes on here like the “club sandwich”.

What I found more impressive about this menu was the common range of Thai dishes on here that had a little twist to them…in that they’re cooked or prepared in a way you might not be so used to. For example the “Gang Kiew Wan Gai” or “Thai Green Curry with Chicken” which is served with a fillet of crispy fried chicken. Then there’s also your familiar dishes like the “Phad Krapow”, which is prepared much like you’re probably used to, but using quality breast chicken, a good portion, and great flavour. I can’t speak for the whole menu on offer at Thai Tune Coffee Bar, but from what I have tasted, the food is really impressive, well priced, and good portions. Her’s what I have tasted so far.

  • Phad Krapow
  • Tuna Salad
  • Gang Kiew Wan Gai
  • And of course…many coffee’s

The club sandwich is definitely on the list to try and a number of other dishes as well.

So yeah, for me this place is all about the coffee, but having seen and tried their recent food menu, I’d also receommend coming here to check out there food menu.

Here’s what I love about Thai Tune Coffee Bar in short.
