Probably the best coffee to find if you’re in Kaeng Krachan.

If you’re out visiting Kaeng Krachan, there’s not a lot to find out this way as far as a quality coffee or cafe goes, and in my opinion, as far as coffee goes, this is the best there is. The place is located about 1 km from the main town where the only 7/11 is, which is the perfect distance to give it the private country feel without being in the middle of nowhere.

The cafe is surrounded by a lot of greenery and a nice garden which is also where the bathrooms / toilets are located (take your time, enjoy the stroll – unless you’re busting!). It’s got a real nice country feel to it, and there is a nice balcony which runs around the outside of the place so you can really take it all in. Take a seat on the deck and breath in the fresh country air, lap it all up!

There’s not much on the menu here though as far as food goes, just a couple of sweets and some croissants, so this is really only a place to stop for a coffee, smoothie or other sweet drink.

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, perhaps read my next blog post I’ll be writing on “Radee Coffee” – another good cafe that sits near the river. Not as good a coffee, but a MUCH wider selection of food, and this place has OK coffee too.

If you’re looking for western food, there’s not too many options either. What you will find here though is

  • Beautiful scenery
  • Great hikes and activities
  • The khaen krachan dam (great scenery again)
  • A 7/11
  • And a lot of thai restaurants

The thai restaurants I’ve visited here have so far been a little average. I’ve been to three so far and the prices in some were more than I’d pay for in Hua Hin (where I get quality seafood)…and for a higher price. BUT…you don’t come here for an eating tour…you come for the scenery and fun….food just keeps you going.

Like i said, for a coffee stop, this was the best i could find. Comfy seating, air conditioned, good wifi, and not bad coffee.

I think for a morning coffee, this place is Brilliant. Sit on the deck, have a “pretty” good coffee, and soak up the Country freshness…it’s all about nature here, not the food.

Prices were good…60 baht for a coffee….and a cold/iced chocolate about 50 baht as well.

What did you like most about the place?

The coffee and scenery…feels like you have your own private garden and is very peaceful.

What other features/facilities stood out?

The bathrooms/toilets. There’s a nice little pathway that runs from the cafe to the toilets which are located in the garden. For outdoor bathrooms/toilets. they’re kept very clean too.

What are the prices like?

Pretty good, 60 baht for a quality coffee is definitely a cheap coffee.

Where are they located?

About 1km (probably closer to 500 meters) after you pass the 7/11 heading out of town (towards phetkhasem road) on the right hand side.
