A cafe that you might just find is one of the best CoWorking spaces in Udon Thani!
Although this modern, spacious and forest like setting cafe has nothing about “CoWorking” in it’s name, you’ll see from first glance into this awesome establishment that it’s well equipped with all the features that make a great CoWorking space for those in search of a good working environment.
Firstly the cafe is surrounded with an enormous nursery or large garden with outdoor seating options, as well as indoor seating, that overlooks the outside gardens and greenery to give you that relaxing nature vibe and a breath of fresh air. The garden is enormous, and looks more like a nursery (…maybe it is…) and offers visitors a cute stone pathway that winds around the different areas of the garden if you want to stretch your legs and take a little stroll.
The inside area has a few rooms, including the main entrance room seating around 20 or so people and has views both to the outside area and also the kitchen or bar area where the barista works his magic. This area is probably prime seating for those looking for a more cooler and comfortable area to chillout and have a bite to eat or drink.
The other rooms offer a more office type vibe, by offering tables, benches and chairs that are more like you would find in the office. It’s obvious that these areas have been designed as a coworking space as they are well equipped with power outlets and have office type chairs and tables for working away on or hosting and event or meeting.
One of these rooms faces out the front of the cafe and has a bench that runs along the front wall of the room with are 4 stools that face out towards the front of the cafe. The rest of the room has around 4 tables seating between 2-3 people. The room is partly closed off from the main area so it offers that bit of extra privacy and quiet space for getting some work done. Then there’s a larger rectangle room that sits off to the side of the cafe that really shouts “CoWorking” when you take a look inside. This room has a large rectangle table with chairs seated all around in a board/meeting room style and a large whitescreen at the front for casting a projector or slideshow. The seats are also office style ergonomic chairs.
As you move out from the main indoor area to the outdoor area, there’s a long patio/porch that has some sofa dining options (for the “lounge out” style diner), as well as traditional table and chairs (if you’re the “sit upright” style diner). From here you really get a good view of the whole garden that surrounds the back area so really get that fresh air country feeling. The advantage of this spot is you get the outdoor experience but with good shading and a solid floor. But if you take a few steps further out into the garden, you can sit right in the midst of it all with their tables and chairs that sit on the grass area. This area is still well shaded as the whole garden is well covered in trees, however perhaps not as much as you’ll find on the porch, and the ground a little more unstable being on grass and soil.
The bar/barista/drinks area is quite large and stretches almost the full length of the of the cafe. It’s a good amount of space for them to show of their quality coffee machine, freshly roasted beans and some pastries / croissants. They roast their own coffee beans under the name of “Right Hand Coffee Roaster” and have a number of bags on sale here for you to take home. So all of this along with the smell of freshly grounded coffee tells you that you’re in the right spot for a good coffee.
Well…their coffee is pretty spot on, and I’d probably give it a 7.5 for their cappuccino.
The food menu is quite interesting too, not a Bible of dishes that overwhelms you and leaves you unable to decide what to eat, but a perfect number of dishes with a good variety to choose from so the selection is quick and easy. There’s the choice of both western and Thai dishes.
For me the item that stood out the most was the pizza, not just because I’m a pizza lover, but it does seem to be one of their more popular offers as theirs a dedicated large section the promotes their pizzas alone that the other dishes don’t get.
The location of this cafe isn’t in what I’d call a “prime” area, as it’s a little far from most other places you’d probably be passing by easily whether you are a local or tourist, so it’s more one of those places that you plan to come to for the cafe alone. It is however on the way to the Airport if you’re coming from the city center and so you could make it a stop on the way to the Airport.
