Serving up one of the best coffee’s in Krabi and at a fraction of the price to its competition!

Meet Up Cafe & Bistro might not be the easiest place to get to if you’re here visiting and don’t have your own wheels to get around, but in saying that, perhaps you like your morning walks, and if that’s the case, this place makes a perfect halfway stop, as it’s only about 2-3 KM’s from the beach strip.

I’ve already been around most of the cafe’s here in Ao Nang, and other than “Cafe 8.98” (which I blogged about on my last visit here) there guys are up there in the top when it comes to quality coffee. I’ve tried their Cappuccino, their Latte and their Iced Americano, and all had a perfect kick without being too strong, and true taste of quality. I’ve also tried a couple of their dishes (Thai Dishes) and they’re well priced and good quality. I wouldn’t rate the food 5 star, but it’s what you would expect from a standard “quality” Thai restaurant…so maybe 4 stars.

I hadn’t planned for a coffee stop on my first visit here, rather I was going for drive around the back of town to take a look at some different scenery to the beaches (where we were spending most of our time). The drive around here is really nice…it’s quiet, fresh and full of nature (greenery, hills, forest). The cafe feels a little bit the same, it’s got a very “green house” feel to it (being made with full height glass walls and wooden furniture), a very “organic” or “natural” feel. There’s plenty of space too and a few dining area to choose from including the main front of the cafe (inside), an outdoor area, and a large back indoor area (well large enough). I’d say the whole place could seat around 50 people or so. But the large space and seating areas doesn’t mean it’s busy, in fact it makes it feel really quiet and much less busy than your Coffee Clubs and other cafe’s in the city. All visits to this cafe there’s only ever been around 10 people, but with the large amount of space, it makes it feel like the place is all yours. It was low season on my visit here, so perhaps in high season it’s a little busier…I’m sure it is.

There’s a good amount of staff working all the time too, so you get prompt service, and the preparation times for both food and coffee is pretty quick.

Price here for coffee is one of the cheapest as well in Ao Nang (for quality coffee anyway). There’s probably another 5 cafe’s around here that do an awesome coffee, and they all start from around 80 baht, and go up to around 120 baht, Bangkok prices basically. These guys do a coffee for around 65 baht.

Been here 3 times now, and probably be popping in here a few more times before we head off!

What were the main things you liked about the place?

Here’s what stood out for me in the first 5 minutes

  • Quality coffee
  • Price
  • Beautiful location and cafe
  • Good amount of power points and great WiFi

What are the prices like?

Pretty good, 65 baht for a quality coffee is something you can’t complain about.

Where are they located?
