Try and find this place! Even with my map it may be a little difficult to find. You’ll have to turn into a couple of small Soi’s from the main road before you arrive here, and even when your 10 meters from the front, you still might miss it.
It looks more like a house than a cafe (from the street), as it’s well hidden behind all it’s greenery/garden out the front, and so even you are on the right Soi, but haven’t got your eyes open for the small white sign “Ko-minG” out the front, you’ll think it’s just another house.
That’s the feeling you get when you walk into this place. A “homey” and cozy feeling that has “artisan” written all over it. You don’t want to be bringing your rushed paced life into this cafe because a lot of it is about “slow”, including their “slow” coffee brewing process.
Like I said, it’s “cozy”, so a large space for entertaining isn’t really on offer here, however, what is on offer here, is quality coffee! And a great relaxing atmosphere to go with it…shut off from the busy outside world, so it makes you feel like ya takin a break from the city for the 20-30 minutes you spend here.
They have the place really covered inside it’s own world, with a lot of plants and other greenery creating your own little oasis, letting you take some time out.
It still seats a good 15 people or more with about 8 or so seats inside the cafe, and a couple of tables out the front in it’s small courtyard area which is well shaded from the sun (there’s even umbrellas to block any sunlight that “might” get it).
Whether you choose indoor or out, you’ll notice the nice water feature they have running along the outside of the place which also adds to the ambiance.
It’s all about Fresh Drinks and Coffee in this place. As soon as you enter you’ll notice all the quality roasted coffee bags on display out the front (for you to buy and take home) as well as a range of quality coffee machines and accessories around the other areas of the cafe as well.
If you’re not a coffee lover, no stress! They have fresh juices available here and also a couple of desserts/sweets for you to nibble on if you’re feeling hungry.
Not that I don’t like a fresh juice, but I didn’t come here for that 🙂 I asked for a Latte, to which they responded….”kem?” (meaning “strong”), and so I opted for the strong version!
It was exactly that, and it was awesome! Quality roasted coffee by “Norm’al Coffee Roasters” and a great “boost me” kick to it!
If the latte isn’t your thing, there’s a heap of other choices on their menu like cold brew’s, drip coffee, iced coffees/teas and frappes and fresh juices. But it is mainly about the coffee here, so if you are a coffee lover, then I think you’ll pretty impressed with this place.
