My Thought Walking In

Initial thought was it may have been a little hot to sit here as there is no indoor dining area. The menu was really impressive with a wide selection of food including different style eggs on toast and heap of sandwiches and other bites to choose from so I decided to give it a crack and take a seat outside.

My Thought Leaving

My leaving thought was “I gotta take my parents here for a brekky when they visit” (as they were visiting in just a couple of weeks). It’s a really great place whether you live you or just visiting and feel like some food that you’re used to. They pull off the eggs on toasts as good as some of the best cafe’s in Melbourne.

How I Felt There

Relaxed and wasn’t hot, but I wouldn’t want to stay for more than hour. The outdoor seating area was nice and fresh as there was a breeze around, but the tables are quite small and designed really only for eating and drinking, not a place to setup your laptop or read a book and feel comfortable.

What I Will Remember

The eggs on toast of course! The service was quick too so I know I can get there, served straight away and have my meal within 5 minutes.

Will I Go Back?

I’ve been back there 3 times now!

Sukhumvit Soi 49, Bangkok (Where a lot of the other great cafe’s are around this area).

Getting There

If you’re coming by BTS, then hop off at Thonglor BTS station and you can either walk up back towards the city center about 150 meters before taking a right onto soi 49. Once you’re on Soi 49, it’s about half a kilometer down. I walk it often from the BTS bu if it’s really hot, perhaps take a taxi or scooter taxi from Thonglor BTS.

I actually didn’t even ask them if they had WiFi. Like I said earlier, it’s not the place to really set up your laptop so I didn’t even bother asking if they had it.

Price is reasonable for this area and they don’t add tax, so what you on the menu is what you pay. The eggs benedict / eggs florentine I ordered cost 250 baht. There’s a lot on the menu such as bagels etc. that are more around the 150 baht mark – so a good price range.
